Boxes are at each Church location year round, available for donations.  Feel free to donate some or all supplies needed to make these kits!   Prior to donating the items, those who are willing and able will gather as a team to assemble the kits.

Help with shipping costs:   Donate money for postage for shipping items. 

Quilts:  LWR distributed its first quilts in 1945 to families in war-torn Europe following the Second World War. Within a decade, the ministry was reaching around the globe to villages far removed from the world’s attention. Personal care kits:  one light weight bath sized towel, two bath sized soap bars, one adult sized toothbrush in original packaging, one sturdy comb with packaging removed, one metal nail clipper with packaging removed.  For specifics and examples: https://lwr.org/kits/personal-care-kits/instructions

Baby care kits:  two lighweight cotton t-shirts, two long or short sleeve gowns or sleepers, two recieving blankets, one jacket, sweater or sweatshirt with a hood, or include a baby cap, four cloth diapers, two pairs of socks, 2-3 bath sized bars of gentle soap, two diaper pins or large safety pins, one hand towel (Dark color preferred).  For specifics and examples: https://lwr.org/kits/baby-care-kits/instructions

School kits: one sturdy drawstring backpack- style cloth bag, (4) 70 sheet notebooks, box of 16 or 24 count crayons, pencil sharpener, a 30 cm ruler, blunt scissors, (5) unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers, (5) black or blue ball point pens, a 2-1/2 inch eraser.  For specifics and examples: https://lwr.org/kits/school-kits/instructions

Fabric kits:  neutral colored spools of thread, general purpose 250-300 yards each.  Pieces of cotton or cotton blend fabric (no knits of 100% polyester).  Each piece should match one of the following sizes:

  • 2 ¼ yards of 60” wide fabric
  • 3 yards of 44” wide fabric
  • 4 yards of 36” wide fabric
